Next time you are ready to criticise somebody and tear strips off their words or actions, remember that you have only been shown A Silhouette View; a representation of someone or something showing the shape and outline only.
Before you judge, look closer for the finer detail.

Today my energy is low, I can’t say why because today is no different than any other day. I didn’t do anything different than I did yesterday.
But this illness is unpredictable and that means that you can plan anything you want but whether you will achieve it or not is unpredictable and varies from day to day.
That’s just a part of fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue which I have had to learn to accept.
My illness does not define me as a person. It is not my story, I am not my fibromyalgia and I hope my blog shows exactly that! I am not a victim. I don’t need sympathy or pity and I don’t feel sorry for myself. Fibromyalgia does not make me into ‘someone’ – I already am someone exactly as I am…And that to me is ‘peace’…and therefore happiness! I wish each and everyone of you ‘peace’… and happiness, no matter what story you choose for yourself!
There are remedies for allergic reactions…
Hi, I’m Marie and this is my SPACE where I get to CREATE and indulge my love of writing, learning and reaching out to you!
I love the interactions and connections I’m making here on WordPress and I’ve mentioned it in this post
I believe writing is cathartic and sharing our stories opens us up to conversations that can broaden our perspective and enhance our world view. I also believe we are amazing human beings with endless potential and we have the power to empower!
I will leave you with one of my favourite quotes
Grace Paley wrote “If you say what’s on your mind in the language that comes to you from your parents and your street and friends you’ll probably say something beautiful.”
My door is always open, please pop in to visit anytime!
The Gift of the Gab…Conversation…talking!
I’m Irish, so need I say more??
I love people and
I love good conversation.
I love watching women in cafès having heart to heart conversations.
I love listening to my male students having whole-hearted conversation at break time.
I love when my students get knee deep in conversation during group discussions.
I love when students gain enough confidence to join into conversations and share their opinions.
I feel sad when students tell me they haven’t spoken a word of conversation to another human being since our previous class.
I feel it’s time to make a change, to make a difference…We all need conversation!
So let’s reach out and start a conversation with someone today. In a shop, on the street and if you lack confidence in your conversation skills and all else fails…come to Ireland and kiss the Blarney Stone…guarantees you an instant…Gift of the Gab!
“This life is for loving, sharing, learning, smiling, caring, forgiving, laughing, hugging, helping, dancing, wondering, healing, and even more loving. I choose to live life this way. I want to live my life in such a way that when I get out of bed in the morning, the devil says, ‘aw shit, he’s up!”
Steve Maraboli, Unapologetically You: Reflections on Life and the Human Experience
I came across this wonderful quote today which to me simply exudes life and sums up what living is all about. I had the pleasure of sharing lunch out with some of my students today and what a lovely experience it was…all of the above and more! My heart and soul left that gathering, dancing and singing and I’m so grateful for the wonderful people I have met on my life journey and for the experiences that open up to me!
Is your life packed with living? I would love to hear your thoughts!
“With the new day comes new strength and new thoughts”.
‘Hope’ knows it is a small word but when it grows up it wants to become a big word like ‘anticipation’. Nothing will stop it in its path. Never give up on hope, anticipate the best and watch as the old gives way to the new!
Affirmation awakens the soul, frees the spirit and tells the body… anything is possible!”
Don’t assume that people know their value. Name the strengths you see in them…help them see their strenghts too!

Can you add any affirmation that has worked for you? What happened as a result?
