Quote No.35 from Encourage Yourself Encourage Others by Anne Devine.
I think the key word here is “your.” Don’t try to live your life to somebody else’s expectations or level of ability.
Have the courage to be imperfect and remind yourself that courage develops of the back of trial and error. Courage means pushing yourself onwards in spite of the fear you feel.
How will you live your life to the best of your ability today? How courageous do you feel? Share what gave you courage in the past.
Le grà,
Hi... failte (Irish for welcome! and pronounced fall-thhha).
I'm a newbie to blogging, here just over a year, but what a great year it has been!
I've turned the corner to 50 recently and two things become more relevant...time and experiences!
Material possessions are less important! Using time wisely and truly experiencing each day holds a new significance for me!
Much love,
Marie x
This is so true. If we live our lives by the rules and expectations that others set for us, it never remains our lives and we won’t truly be happy. Our dreams squashed, our aspirations trampled upon we’d be shadows of our own selves right.
Good one and each day brings new opportunities … today I am packing and cleaning to start the trip home tomorrow. Lockdown is not over but believe I can travel to get to my own place 🙂
lol no I think the nephew wants to have the party that got cancelled earlier … anyway time for me to move on before the roads become congested once restrictions are lifted.
I can travel as I will be returning home but most businesses are still closed 🙂
I just love this, Marie. Too many today don’t even know what “their” life is for listening to others as how to live their lives. Thank you for reminding everyone who reads this post that in order to really live, they must live their OWN life. xo
Great quote! I’ve thought a lot lately about my need to be more courageous. In life and especially during this time. But, I also want to be brave when it comes to my writing. I have the quote on my desktop, “Be brave enough to be bad at something new.” by Jon Acuff. Thanks for sharing these, Marie!
I love your goal for your writing and know you will flourish off the back of it! I love the Jon Acuff quote Brenda a great reminder to just give something new a go! Adler would say, having the courage to be imperfect. Sharing Anne’s quotes and stirring up thoughts and interaction is my pleasure!! Xx

Oh dear, you are taking a risk!! Is that part of the adventure for you? Or should you reconsider and enjoy your sea view for another week or two? X

I do Darren. Time and experiences bring change sometimes without us even realising it. Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
