Quote No. 43 from Encourage Yourself Encourage Others by Anne Devine.
I feel like Anne wrote this one especially for me!
I’m enjoying the challenge of showing up to my blog, almost daily, to share Anne’s warm and insightfully encouraging quotes. I’m also writing a gratitude journal. Reading back through my Journal on Christmas Day last was the best gift I gave myself for Christmas and I’m pretty sure my happiness in sharing some precious memories flowed over onto my family.
What do you do to encourage yourself and encourage others?
Hi... failte (Irish for welcome! and pronounced fall-thhha).
I'm a newbie to blogging, here just over a year, but what a great year it has been!
I've turned the corner to 50 recently and two things become more relevant...time and experiences!
Material possessions are less important! Using time wisely and truly experiencing each day holds a new significance for me!
Much love,
Marie x
Positive and profound words of encouragement, Marie. The vase is looking so beautiful. I keep myself occupied doing cooking in the morning, at times going for groceries and in the evening sit on WP and then read motivational books.
Thank you Kamal, I treated myself to flowers while grocery shopping as they lift my spirits everytime I look at them. You have a wide range of strategies in place and variety is the key to success. Thanks for sharing. X
I love this idea of an ‘encouragement box.’ I do a monthly gratitude page in my bullet journal (or as I call it, my life in a book) and write down the things I’m grateful for throughout the month. Once I’m done with each month’s page, I keep them so I can look back on them and remember all the things I have to be thankful for. You, my friend, are one of the people I’m most grateful for!
It is a lively upbeat and motivating idea Terri. What’s nicer than looking at treasured momentos. I’m glad the gratitude journal works so well for you too. It helped change my perspective and my life as a result. Terri, what a lovely thing to say, I feel blessed that I have come to know you and to learn so much from you here on WP. I will be recording it in my gratitude journal and my spirits will be lifted everytime I think of you and your comment. Xx
Thank you for sharing!!.. I simply sit down with a spot of tea (green tea preferably) and let let my fingers do the walking (typing/writing) and my heart do the talking, and encourage everyone to do the same… 🙂
Until we meet again..
May you always walk in the sunshine
May you never want for more
May Irish angels rest their wings
Right beside your front door.
(Irish Saying)
I really like this one. I just started an encouragement folder on my computer and will look back at it from time to time. A gratitude journal sounds like a wonderful idea too, Marie! Nice post. Thanks for spreading encouraging words!!
I’m delighted you have taken something from this Brenda! You won’t be disappointed! A computer folder is a great idea as I have found WP bloggers to be very generous and supportive in their comments. You can copy and paste many encouraging messages from your blog to your folder! Have fun and bathe yourself in all the love you receive. Xx
I think listening to somebody could be the greatest form of encouragement that I can give to somebody. 🙂 As far as I am concerned, I read, write (rant) and listen to music 🙂
