Time and the right conditions not only preserve but bring about something of beauty – Marie Clancy.
This is a photo of Emma and Doris taken in the run up to Christmas
Doris has grown quite a lot in the past few months…
but so has her amazing mum Emma…
Emma shared her photo to her Instagram account. Emma’s growth from this journey is evident in what she wrote about being relentlessly bullied in school…
If you have experienced school bullying or your children have or are being bullied, don’t despair, there is always hope and because we’ve been there and have grown from our experience, we know you too can find peace and move forward with hope!
Hi... failte (Irish for welcome! and pronounced fall-thhha).
I'm a newbie to blogging, here just over a year, but what a great year it has been!
I've turned the corner to 50 recently and two things become more relevant...time and experiences!
Material possessions are less important! Using time wisely and truly experiencing each day holds a new significance for me!
Much love,
Marie x
Unlikely it will help, similar to telling a woman in an abusive relationship to just leave, a person with a broken leg to get up and walk or advising an alcoholic to just stop drinking… non-judgemental love usually is the only way.
Thank you Kim, it’s a big lesson and a long time coming and it’s an old saying but true…slow and steady wins the race!! Happy New Year to you too Kim! X
Emma is an inspiration and I am very happy to have met her via Instagram. I know there have still been difficult days but I hope she continues to go from strength to strength in 2020. Happy New Year to you and all your family Marie. x
Fantastic insight Emma! I remember studying at UL in 2010 and our class had a stunningly young beautiful blonde student. The only problem with her is when you got to know her a little she was a horribly conceited and mean individual. I hope I never SEE her again.
I also remember an overweight woman in a swimming pool swinging from a pole as she was waiting to use the diving board. She was lost in her happiness and regardless of her weight seemed so beautiful and care free. These two experiences really made me realise that true beauty shines from within!!!
Keep up that great insight that our bodies do NOT fully equate beauty!
Hemingway said “The world breaks everyone and afterwards, some are strong at the broken places” Bullying breaks children but we can help them be strong again at the broken places and they sometimes can be wise beyond their years too. Thanks Rog for reading & joining in the conversation! Xx

wow Marie what a powerful and profound insight! You have every right to be so proud of her …
And I noticed a similarity between the two, both have deep dark eyes and look like they need a good feed 🙂
Know you are having a joyous NY, enjoy the humbug 😎

Food is a very difficult issue Kate. Anxiety impacts Emma’s appetite and ability to swallow without fear of vomiting. It’s been a long road…
