Remembering to forget is probably one of the best gifts you can give yourself.
Whether it is that you need to…
Forget that they weren’t there for you,
Forget that they didn’t understand,
Forget that the system failed you,
Forget that they told you that you needed to be more resilient,
Or
Forget that they didn’t think before they spoke unhelpful words…

Just know that you were good enough as you were and that likewise it was also the best they had to give at that time.
Accept the situation as it was and look deep inside to adapt and improve yourself. Don’t live on your expectations of them…
Enhance your now…remember to forget.
Just forget!
Much love,
Marie xx

Absolutely amazing! I honestly have a hard time forgetting things that were the most hurtful. I know forgiving is important, but I find it impossible to forgive my biological father for missing my wedding, I will never forget the pain this caused me.

Oh Alyssa, I am so sorry to hear of your experience and it is totally understandable that you feel this way. You are human and it’s ok to struggle and find it impossible. However, “Our expectations” of others are just that…”ours” and …”expectations”. Try to consider the following…acknowledge how strong you were to actually cope in that difficult situation and note who was really there for you in that situation… Thank you for reading, for your positive feedback, for sharing your upset. I am thinking of you. Xx

Thank you! You always have the most inspiring and wise things to say! I try to limit my expectations of others now because it is just easier to have my expectations low. This allows me to not be disappointed and then happy when things go right! I hope you have a great weekend!!
